Krilo Lux – New Fast Catamaran Ferry for Krilo Kapetan Luka
Krilo Kapetan Luka, a Croatian ferry company, to acquire its new fast catamaran ferry, Krilo Lux.
This brand new GRP-built passenger ferry was recently launched in Gondan, the Spanish shipyard with headquarters in the GRP Fibreglass division in Castropol, Asturias.
This is their second vessel built for the Krilo Hr company. The first one was Krilo Star, delivered in 2019 (see video here and here).
Krilo Lux has a capacity of 440 passengers. The total length is 36 meters with 10.5 meters beam. It can reach a speed of up to 34 knots.
This is the largest and fastest GRP-built catamaran built in Spain with a hull that is largely free of corrosion.
This amazing new catamaran is built to operate the fast ferry route between Split and Dubrovnik, Croatia including the islands of Hvar, Korcula and Mljet. See schedules: Split to Hvar, Split to Dubrovnik
It is expected that in the next few weeks, Krilo Lux will undergo a complete sea trial program with delivery to Croatia planned by the end of this year.
