Split to Hvar ferry is a year-round route, that sails several times a day. The journey lasts for 1 to 2 hours. It’s run by Jadrolinija, Krilo & TP Line ferry companies. The usual timetable includes several departures per day from the Split ferry port to three ports on Hvar island: Hvar, Stari Grad, or Jelsa. The fastest route is to Hvar town (1 hour) and the longest one is a car ferry to Stari Grad (2 hours). Jelsa route also stops in Bol on Brac island.

Split to Hvar Passenger Ferry

There are several passenger ferries – catamarans,  serving the passenger ferry route from Split to Hvar Island: Split – Hvar, Split – Stari Grad, and Split – Jelsa. Run by Croatia ferry companies, with a journey time of 60 to 90 minutes. These ferries do not take cars, just passengers and sometimes bikes and pets. The last passenger ferry departure from Split is at 16:00 off-season and at 17:00 in July & August.

If you are a foot passenger, arrive at the ferry terminal at least 40 minutes prior to departure. Have your travel documents ready for possible identification at the boarding points. Once on board, proceed to the seating lounge or deck.

Split to Hvar Car Ferry

There is just one ferry serving the car ferry route from Split and Hvar Island, which is a car ferry from Split to Hvar (Stari Grad). This ferry is run by Jadrolinija with a journey time of 120 minutes. The ferry takes all vehicles including camper vans, lorries, buses, and cars. The last car ferry departure from Split is at 20:30 off-season and at 01:30 in July & August.

The latest ferry to reach Hvar island from Split is at 8:30 pm. In July & August, the latest one is at 01:30 am. The route is Split – Hvar (Stari Grad). The earliest one is at 5 am.
