Ancona to Durres ferry is run by Adria Ferries ferry company. It sails all year round from 3 to 5 times a week. The journey lasts 16 hours. It is an overnight ferry with departures in the afternoon or early evening and arrivals next morning to Durres or Ancona. This is a popular ferry route that connects Italy with Albania. The usual timetable is a departure at 19:00 arrival the following morning at 11:00. However, on the same dates out of season and during the high season the ferry departures are also at 17:00. Make sure you check schedules for your particular dates carefully here.

As this is a 16 hours overnight ferry crossing, it is advisable to book the cabin or seat well in advance. To fully enjoy your trip, get prepared and wear suitable clothing and footwear.
Boarding the ferry
- Carefully check where is the exact location of the ferry terminal (see map and address for Durres and Ancona)
- Arrive in the right terminal at least 2 hours prior to departure. Bear in mind that check-in office in Ancona is about 20 min walk from the ferry embarkation point which is in Molo Santa Maria.
- Have your travel documents ready for immigration and border crossings which are situated just before the boarding point.
- If you booked a cabin, you have to check in on the ferry reception desk where you pick up your cabin keys. If you are deck passenger you are not required to check-in at the reception. Simply proceed to the seating area/deck and get the best place available.
