Corfu ferry port and cruise terminal are situated at the seashore next to the Corfu Old Town, on easy walking distance from this romantic city’s markets, landmarks and squares.

Car ferries to and from Italy, fast ferry from Albania as well as local ferries to other Greek islands all arrive and depart from here. From here you can get a direct international overnight crossing to Italy, a short fast ferry crossing to Saranda in Albania, and get other ferries further from Greece across the Mediterranean. The alternative international ferry ports are in Igoumenitsa, Patras, Sami, and Zakynthos.

Getting To Corfu Ferry port

Getting to Corfu ferry port and passenger terminal is fairly straightforward: The passenger terminal is situated very close to the bus station and just up the road from the Airport.

How to get from Corfu Airport to ferry terminal

Corfu Airport (CFU) is just under 3 km away from the ferry terminal. Regular 10 to 15 minutes bus shuttle service between Corfu town center (San Rocco Square) and the airport (CFU) (more info: cfu-airport.gr). The one-way fare is € 2. Buy your ticket on the bus. The airport shuttle bus number 15 is run by CorfuCityBus company, check the latest updates here

To reach the ferry terminal by car or taxi will take about 10 minutes. Taxi can be picked up in front of the passenger terminal at the airport and in the ferry port. It will charge you about 10 Euro one way.

Getting from the bus station to ferry terminal

The bus station for bus no 15 is just a few meters from the ferry passenger terminal so you will get there in just a few steps (see below map)

Luggage Storage in Corfu Ferry Port

There is luggage storage very close to the ferry terminal (see here) as well as a bit further away, closer to the Old Town. Opening hours are from 9 am to 9 pm. They charge 2 euro per bag per day – more info here

Check-in, ticket office, ferry boarding

  • get to the ferry port at least 2 hrs prior to your departure
  • get your boarding pass in the ferry check-in office
  • you will pass the immigration procedure just before the boarding
  • for an orientation around the area, follow the well-placed and clear signs

Parking in Corfu ferry port

Parking near the port is easy if you are just dropping or picking up someone. For a longer stay, you can either use off street parking or long stay parking in the designated long-stay parking lots. There are several parking lots nearby, see the map here. The nearest one is within the port itself.

  • walk along the waterfront to the Old Town and to the Old Venetian Fortress
  • visit Old Venetian Fortress (photo below) for amazing views over the bay

The 15th century Old Venetian Fortress featuring scenic ruins, a seating area & a chapel is just 30 minutes walk (2.5 km) along the waterfront from the ferry port in the directions to the Old Town. From the grounds of the Fortress, you can see the channel, port, yacht marina, and entire coastline. Enjoy the lovely views.
