Krilo Kapetan Luka Acquired its New Fast Catamaran Ferry
Kapetan Luka (Krilo) ferry company has recently acquired its new fast catamaran ferry which just arrived in the Croatian port of Trogir on the board of Deo Volente cargo ship (see photos).
The newly acquired vessel is ex-Trasmapi‘s Migjorn Jet catamaran which was built in 2018 and was serving Spanish Ibiza and Formentera islands crossings.
The new vessel is an aluminium hull fast catamaran built in 2018 in Spanish shipyard Rodman Polyships, class Rodman 100 which is their largest passenger catamaran vessel. It was designed and built under the strict International Code of Safety for High-Speed Crafts.
The total length of the ferry is 30 meters, width 9 meters, with a max speed of 27 knots. The capacity is 306 passengers.
Equipped with air conditioning, disabled toilets, babies changing rooms, self-service drinks and snacks, children’s play area, comfortable seats offering panoramic sea views, passenger deck salons with disabled access, this catamaran also features a dedicated space reserved for pets transportation.
The access to the top deck equipped with seats will offer the enjoyment of outdoor sailing with breathtaking views over the seascape.
The new name of the vessel is still not known. My guess is that she will be called ” Krilo +? something”.
She will be serving passengers on the Adriatic routes along the coast of Croatia including its numerous islands and ports such as Hvar, Split, Vis, Dubrovnik, and possibly further afield – example routes: Split to Hvar, Split to Dubrovnik
As soon as new details arise, this post will be updated. Stay tuned.
