Bari to Durres Ferry
Bari to Durres ferry is run by 3 ferry companies – Grandi Navi Veloci, Adria Ferries and Ventouris Ferries. It sails all year round at least once a day. In the high season, it sails twice a day. The journey lasts 8 to 10 hours. It is mostly an overnight ferry although there are also daytime departures.

The usual timetable is a departure at 22:00 and arrival the following morning at 08:00. However, on the same dates out of season and during the high season (June-September) the ferry departures are also at 11:00, 13:00 or 23:00. As this is an overnight ferry crossing, it is advisable to book the cabin or seat well in advance. Also, make sure you wear suitable clothing and footwear.
Boarding the ferry
- Carefully check where is the exact location of the ferry terminal (see map and address below)
- Make sure you arrive at the right terminal at least 2 hours prior to departure. Bear in mind that the check-in office in Bari is about 10 min walk from the ferry embarkation point which is in Molo San Vito.
- Have your travel documents ready for border crossings
- If you booked a cabin, you would need to check in at the ferry reception where you will collect your cabin keys. For deck passengers, it is not required. Just proceed to the ferry lounge/seating area.
