Liberty Lines: Italy’s Leading High-Speed Ferry Operator

Liberty Lines is one of Italy’s larger ferry companies, operating a fleet of 32 high-speed vessels. The company serves numerous ferry routes across Italy, including services in the northern Adriatic Sea that connect Italy with Croatia and Slovenia. It was originally founded in 1993 under the name Ustica Lines in Sicily, Italy. In 2011, the company expanded its operations under the brand Trieste Lines, launching ferry services in the Istrian region and connecting Trieste with Piran, Poreč, Rovinj and Mali Lošinj.

Liberty Lines currently operates a fleet of 32 vessels, including hydrofoils, catamarans, and single-hull fast ferries. These modern ships serve high-speed routes throughout Italy, as well as international connections to Croatia, particularly the Istrian coast.

You can do online booking, get tickets from local travel agents, or on the day of travel, buy a ticket at the boarding point.

What is the departure procedure for Liberty Lines ferries?

Get in port at least 60 minutes prior to departure. Bear in mind that you have to do customs and border crossing procedures, as these ferries cross international borders.

What is the luggage allowance?

The luggage allowance is two bags per person. Charges apply for additional or larger bags.
