Get to the ferry terminal at least 60 minutes prior to departure. As you are about the cross the border between Croatia and Italy, have your travel documents ready for identification, customs, and passport control at the boarding point. The ferries that serve this route are Prince of Venice (or Angela) owned by Adriatic Lines and San Frangisk (or San Pawl) owned by Venezia Lines. They are comfortable, air-conditioned HSC ferries (catamarans). You are allowed at least one piece of luggage. There is an extra charge for additional luggage (from € 5 and more). The luggage bags are stored on the racks at the entrance of the ferry. The racks look similar to racks on trains. The crew helps with luggage. Your hand luggage you keep next to you, at seatings.
There is a snack/coffee bar on board selling hot and cold drinks and crisps and sandwiches. Toilets are also available. None of the ferries has mobile and laptop charging sockets or USB ports in the passenger lounge. None of the ferries has WIFI access. All ferries are non-smoking.
Where to get tickets for the ferry from Rovinj to Venice
Booking is available online usually from January of the current year. Your ticket is emailed to you with a bar code which is scanned when you get on the ferry. Buying tickets in advance guarantee you place on the ferry. On the day of travel, you can buy a ticket at the boarding point in Rovinj ferry port if any of the places are still available.
