Getting To Bari Ferry port
Getting to Bari ferry port and passenger terminal is fairly straightforward. The passenger terminal is situated within walking distance to the main city bus and central railway station, about 20 min drive from the Airport. (see below map)
How to get from Bari Airport to ferry terminal
Bari International Airport – Karol Wojtyla (BRI) is just about 13 km away from the ferry terminal. Regular 30 minutes bus shuttle service between Bari Central Tain Station (Aldo Moro Square) in the town center and the airport (BRI) (aeroportidipuglia.it). The one-way fare is € 4. Get your ticket on the bus.

The alternative is a local bus number 16, direction to Bari. You will arrive at Aldo Moro Square where you will change to bus no 20 which will take you to the passenger terminal.
A taxi from the airport to the ferry terminal will take about 25 minutes; train about 40 minutes.
Getting from Bari Central railway and bus station to ferry terminal
The distance between Bari ferry terminal to train and bus station is about 2.1 kilometers. If you don’t have heavy luggage you can walk there in about 25 minutes. The alternative is to take a local bus no 20 which will take you to the terminal (see walking map) There is also a local taxi available.

Very close to the train station, in Via Giuseppe Capruzzi, is also the main bus station (for Flix Bus) from where you can get a bus to the rest of Italy. Shuttle bus to the airport stops at the train station too.
Luggage Storage in Bari Ferry Port
There is luggage storage in the ferry terminal itself (Molo San Vito) with limiting working hours. In the train station (Bari Centrale Station) opening hours are 7 am to 11 pm, so if you’re arriving in Bari by train, bus, or plane and head to the ferry terminal, use the Bari Centrale station to store your luggage.
Check-in, ticket office, ferry boarding
- get to the ferry port at least 3 hrs prior to your departure
- get your boarding pass in the ferry check-in office
- pass the immigration procedure just before the boarding

Parking in Bari ferry port
Parking near the port is easy if you are just picking up or dropping someone for a minute or two. There are also some parking meters available for short stay parking options. Bari Cathedral (info) is just 10 minutes walk from the port. It is also known as the Cathedral di San Sabino. From there, just follow the signs for other places of interest within the city centre (above photo) all on the easy walking distance.
